Team Terralithia, having achieved 2nd place in the ClimateLaunchpad Cyprus National Competition, was eligible to represent Cyprus on an international stage.
We had some great training from the Cyprus chapter of ClimateLaunchpad a day before the start. Our hopes were high for all 3 teams that came from Cyprus.
1600 ideas went into the ClimateLaunchpad programme, of which 130 were selected to compete in the Global Grand Final.
We gave a great presentation, however, we were not chosen to be in the final 16 for the final round.
However there were some great ideas presented with significant impact; both socially and environmentally.
Our trip to the Global Grand Finals was very rewarding; we met many great entrepreneurs from different parts of the world, heard keynote speeches from the CEO of Climate KIC, the Ambassador of Ireland (who was instrumental in funding the African contenders), the Mayor of Amsterdam and many great activists.
This event has opened up different doors for us, (and we are determined to enter phase 2 of the Climate-KIC incubator), and we look forward to posting more about this in the near future!

Many great climate action ideas were presented; from countries as far away as Kenya, to Brazil and Uzbekistan.. it was surely a Global Grand Final!
